The Cinterion ® Connect Shield is intended for evaluation and development purposes only, and should therefore only be used in a (laboratory) test environment or when used for trials in public network in very limited quantity. Cinterion® Connect Shields are NOT for production purpose or commercial use.

Cinterion® Connect Shields contain the region specific variant of a Gemalto cellular Module (e.g. ELS61-US, ELS61-E). Gemalto cellular Modules come with all necessary legal pre-approvals (e.g. ELS61-US is fully pre-approved for FCC, PTCRB and pre-approved for Mobile Network Operator AT and T), unless otherwise specified. For commercial mass production of a cellular end product containing Gemalto cellular Modules, a delta approval is required as usual.
